Not a lot going on at the allotment at the moment, far to wet and cold to do to much, but spring is on it's way slowly.
We did harvest another Cabbage (Kilaton F1) and some more Kale (Borecole Vates Blue Curled) for today's Dinner. Both these varieties have done really well since planting out in April 2020 and have given us a good crop since around September 2020.
The Tomato "Mountain Magic" have now been potted up from the smaller pots into 10cm pots with our own home-made compost, we had 5 of the 6 seeds germinate are now growing quite rapidly. The packet of seed set us back £2.85 so quite expensive for tomato seeds.
The Thor F1 sweet peppers are also coming along great, 21 plants in total all doing great in the little 6cm pots for now. Not sure what to do with all the plants at the moment as we can only really fit 10 plants in the greenhouse.
We have also had germination success we some Havana Gold chillies that we harvested seed from in 2019. There are 5 in a single 6cm pot at the moment, will have to grow at least 2 of these plants, if they re-pot okay as they are one of my most favourite chilli for making chilli jam and sweet chilli dipping sauce.
