We have 4 types of Hop (Humulus lupulus) growing at the Allotment, Redsells Eastwell Golding, Target, Challenger, and Fuggles, all bought from Willingham Nurseries along time ago now. 2012 at a guess. These hops are used when I brew my own beer.
They are planted down the middle of our plot and each year around about now they start to grow. So now is when we have to put up our hop poles as the hops need something to climb up.
The hop got a good de-weeding, and the lines put up ready for them to start their journey up the strings.
