Just about the last of the Kale Borecole Vates Blue Curled

A quick trip to the Allotment today to pick up some veg for an upcoming Roast Pork meal for Easter.

The Kale Borecole Vates Blue Curled has started to go to seed and the pigeons have been eating it as well, still got 500g of nice new shoots from the plants. This Kale has done really well for us in 2020-2021 and at £0.99 for the pack of seeds, has been very economical. I have sown the seeds we had left over from last year so hopefully they will germinate and we can have more of this lovely Kale this season.

The Cabbage (Kilaton F1) are still giving us a crop, got one more at 700g again today. We have about 5 left growing, but they are a little loose. Might still give us a meal or two though.

Our plot neighbour Norman, also gave us a couple more raised bed boxes, the same as the other ones he let us have.

The Aquadulce Claudia Broad Beans that we planted in October are in flower, so with a bit of luck we might get a early harvest this year. We still need to sow the Broad Bean "Bunyards Exhibition" once this next cool spell in the weather has passed for a second crop.
