Gave the Oca Tubers (Oxalis tuberosa) bed a good tidy up and cleared out all the weeds that were popping up everywhere.
These things seem to grow very slowly, they are getting bigger, and since they have been in the ground now since the second week in May (2021) I was expecting them to have put on a bit more growth by now. However these are a Winter crop so we have a lot of time yet.
The
Cabbages are growing well but still can't tell which type of cabbage each is. The Kale, well seems like we have planted out just
Borecole Nero Di Toscana in both beds, that will teach me to label the pots better next time. We think we may have some of the
Kale "Borecole Vates Blue Curled still at home, but it's no problem if we just have the Nero. Got to give this area a good de-weed next trip to the Allotment.
